Description

Scope

Applied for storage charge of transit, international or domestic arrival or outbound cargo stored in NCTS’ warehouse. For services provided by the Handling Company are part of aviation transportation, the Handling Company’s liability shall be subjected to international conventions and regulations applicable in aviation transportation. The maximum settlement for Handling Company’s liability is referred to Article 8 of IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement(SGHA), AHM810 version 2018 or the latest version.

Applicable unit

“Hour”: where the storage time is less than 60 minutes, the storage charge will be paid at a full hourly rate.

“Day”: where the storage time is less than 24 hours, the storage charge will be paid at a full 24 hourly rate.

"AWB": Master Airway Bill – MAWB or House Airway Bill - HAWB or mail document (CN38 or the equivalent mail document).

"AWB/time": the number of which a shipment in one airway bill enters NCTS’s warehouse. When a shipment in one airway bill requires different storage services, each kind of storage service is considered as one time of which the shipment enters warehouse.

Charging principle

1. The unit reference to be applied in calculation of storage charges is gross weight shown in the airway bill.

2. When the shipment in one airway bill requires multi-storage services, the storage charge will be calculated by actual storage time and/or actual gross weight of each storage service.

3. Cargo storage is carried out in accordance with the following principle:

    3.1 To comply with IATA regulations and carriers’ cargo operation manual;

    3.2 To comply with NCTS’ regulations;

    3.3 Upon customers’ request.

Payer

  1. Outbound cargo:


- Shipper
will pay for the storage period from cargo acceptance time to the ETD of booking flight

- Carrier will pay for the storage period from the ETD of booking flight to the ATD of actual carrying flight. No storage exemption period shall be applied in this case.

2. Inbound cargo:

Consignee will pay for the storage period from the ATA to the time of delivery.

Carrier will pay for the over-carried cargo, cargo rejected from receiving, cargo under carrier’s responsibility from the ATD to the completion of Document and actual delivery of shipment.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

3. Transit/transfer cargo: Carrier pay all arise storage charge except for specific agreement.

4. Other cases: As agreed with the service requester.

Chargeable storage period

Outbound cargo: The chargeable storage time shall be calculated from acceptance time to ATD, not included the storage exemption period.


Inbound cargo: The chargeable storage time shall be calculated from ATA to delivery time, not included the storage exemption period.

Surcharge for extra storage

(for import cargo)

For cargo stored in cool room: If consignee cannot process to collect shipment within 120 minutes, an additional storage charge shall be applied. The consignee has to pay the additional amount if the storage fee at this time exceeds the amount that the consignee paid when check out at cashier counter.

Additional surcharge storage will be added for cargo left at NCTS release cargo area past a certain time mark, 180 minutes (for non-inspecting cargo) and 240 minutes (for inspecting cargo) after the completion of release service. Minimum charge of each storage type is applied at the highest rate.

The storage exemption period

The free storage period is applied non-accumulate for a shipment.

Exemption period of its respective storage service is applied once since the ATA (for import cargo) or before ETD (for outbound cargo).

Free calculation

For outbound cargo: Using storage charge table to calculate the storage charge for shipper and carrier. Under no circumstances are these two kinds of charges accumulated.

Tax and fee

All the above-mentioned charges are excluded tax and fee.

Other issues

Storage charges can be paid under contract upon request of payer.

Any special requirement for storage which is not mentioned above shall be subjected to NCTS’s current policy

The storage charged period is counted continuously from the arrival of flight to the time of delivery.
 

Storage charge is subject to applicable storage fee.

 Warehouse renting

 

- The storage period is counted commencing from the time of cargo entering warehouse to the time of delivery.

 
 

- Additional storage charge will be calculated based on the gross weight of left-over cargo ( in case customer announce to leave said shipment) or the gross weight of left-over cargo at the time NCTS detected ( in case customer leave said shipment unannounced).

 

- Minimum charge and tariff of each storage type is applied at the highest rate.

Storage charge is equal to the total storage fees of all part shipment.

 

Pursuant to applicable storage fee for each part shipment depending on its storage requirement.

Subject to applicable storage fee for each part shipment.

 

All the above-mentioned charges are excluded VAT and fee.
